We recognise that as a business, the way we work can harm the environment.  We are committed to finding ways to reduce the impact of our work both in the office and when work takes us away from the office.

With this in mind, we have implemented the following environmental policy:

• To the extent practicable, we reduce the quantity and degree of hazard of the unavoidable wastes we generate from our operations and handle them in a safe, legal and responsible way to minimise their environmental impact.

• We recycle as much waste material as possible.
• We use electronic communication to send documents and invoices to minimise the use of paper and printing.
• We reuse waste paper from the printer, using the blank side for notes.
• We purchase products made with recycled materials—paper towels and printer paper from sustainable sources.
• Our office equipment has been sourced locally (from Gosport, Fareham and Portsmouth) and is pre-owned, including our desks, seating, computer equipment, etc.

• We use low energy LED lighting throughout our office in Gosport
• We ensure that all unnecessary electronics are shut down entirely after use (lights, computers, printers, etc.)
• We continuously monitor our use of energy.

• Wherever practicable, we use products from proven sustainable sources made from recycled materials or designed to be easily reused or recycled.

• Our Coffins
  We strive to use Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified companies when sourcing our coffins.   
  The materials used in the alternative coffins we supply (willow, bamboo, wool, etc.) are produced from sustainable sources.

The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) is an international, non-governmental organisation dedicated to promoting the responsible management of forests. Since its foundation in 1994, FSC has grown to become the world’s most respected and widespread forest certification system.

FSC's pioneering certification system, which covers more than 200 million hectares of forest, enables businesses and consumers to choose wood, paper and other forest products made with materials that support responsible forestry.

FSC chain of custody certification verifies that FSC-certified material has been identified and separated from non-certified and uncontrolled material as it makes its way along the supply chain, from the forest to the market.

Any company involved in processing or transforming FSC-certified products (e.g. manufacturing, repackaging, pack-splitting, relabelling, cutting to size or adding other forest-based components) must be FSC certified FSC label to their products and/or sell them with an FSC claim.

• We avoid unnecessary travel by conducting our business by email, instant messaging, video and audio conferencing and telephone.
• Where practicable, we use low impact transport. For example, we use public transport or carpool to attend meetings (in Gosport, Fareham and Portsmouth).
• We continuously monitor our use of mileage.
